About Bart Varelmann

Raised during The Depression, Bart Varelmann began his schooling in Cincinnati , but was called for duty during the Korean War and served five years as a bomber pilot.  With the GI Bill, he graduated from the University of Miami , and from Florida   moved to Mexico  when, after a devastating hurricane in 1959, he bought the remains of a tiny inn on the beach in Manzanillo.  

His book, INNKEEPER, is his autobiography covering his Mexican adventures over the next forty-five years.  He has been married to his third wife, Inga, for twenty eight years.
